There’s something magical about creating something that people love to eat.
Years ago, when I was about 8 years old, I remember handing out samples of my mother’s flan in Central Market. I’d stand there asking each passerby if they wanted to try some, and watched closely as their face transformed into a smile after tasting the first bite. My mother poured her heart and soul into her product and created an incredible, award-winning, renown custard that people loved.
Today, I’m embarking on a similar journey alongside her. This time to help recreate a traditional dessert that our family loves, the shortbread cookie.
